Knowing the Electrical System

No matter where you look in your mobile home, you see the need for plenty of electric power. Electrical systems in today’s mobile homes deliver sufficient horsepower to maintain a high standard of living.
The simplicity of an electrical system makes minor repairs by the homeowner easy. BUT you must understand the principles of electrical safety before you attempt repairs.
For example, when you use a neon tester or voltmeter to diagnose electrical faults, the current has to be on. Yet you must NEVER proceed with any electrical repair with the power “live.” Turn the Juice off at the main circuit breakers, and instruct everyone at home to leave them all off until you, yourself, turn them back on.
